Journeys of Discovery
Shiseido is a Japanese beauty brand at the forefront of skincare technology. Our brief was to help launch a new range of products called WASO, aimed at a millenial audience of provenance conscious consumers.

The WASO range was inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Washoku, a process in preparing food that respects the uniqueness and potential of each and every ingredient.
To connect these principles with our twenty-something, digital audience we created Journey’s of Discovery a social campaign that follows three unique influencers across Tokyo, each with their own authentic experience to discover the ingredients behind the WASO range.
The experiences centred around the concept of duality, between the traditions and modernity of Japan. We felt this mirrored the duality of WASO, a range inspired by Washoku using the latest skincare technology. Each influencer showcased this through a different lens, reflecting their own personal passions, from food to fashion to beauty.
My role in this project was focused around translating the principles behind WASO into content that could live and be relevant on social. I worked on the central concept for the series as well as creating, storyboarding and art directing the journeys themselves.
